Hey there! Welcome to Seadog Photography by JFH. John’s passion for photography began in his teenage years, experimenting with an old bellows camera and developing a lifelong appreciation for capturing the world through a lens. Decades later, that early curiosity has evolved into a refined craft, now practiced with a full-frame mirrorless digital camera.

Since retiring, John has fully immersed himself in photography, dedicating time to honing both his shooting and editing skills—largely self-taught through online learning. His work reflects a deep appreciation for natural beauty and storytelling, with striking images ranging from the seascapes and landscapes of Ireland to moments captured during his travels abroad.

Recently, John celebrated a significant milestone with his first exhibition in Louisburgh, where his work was showcased alongside that of fantasy and science fiction writer Danny Flynn. His growing collection of photographs offers viewers a blend of atmosphere, detail, and perspective, with a selection of prints available that highlight both his local surroundings and international adventures.
